Energy, economic, and environmental issues are creating a demand for energy storage, and policy initiatives are accelerating that demand. Energy storage includes batteries but also thermal and mechanical technologies. Beyond storing energy, all batteries are not the same.
The wide range of battery types, chemistries, sizes, designs, control mechanisms, operating temperatures, and potential locations suggest an almost infinite number of possibilities. Just when you think you have all the information you need there will be new energy storage technologies to keep you engaged.
Energy storage technologies may or may not be similar to other technologies; the system and its component parts must be validated as being safe. The safety of an energy storage technology is also affected by the location in which it is installed and manner in which that installation is implemented. While there are a set number of safety issues, the manner in which they are addressed to ensure safety is significant due to the number of variables associated with the technologies and their relationship with the built environment. Safety does not stop when a new system is commissioned, and the safety issues remain relevant through operation, repair, or renewal of the system, any needed re-commissioning, and finally through decommissioning.
To provide an overview of energy storage (ES) technology tailored for those responsible for ensuring the safety of energy storage system (ESS) installations

Course Description for Fundamentals of Battery Storage
After going through this course the student will be able to:
- Understand the Basic Principles of Solar Technology.
- Solar Cooker, Water Heater
- Solar Photovoltaic Lighting System.
- Solar Water Pumping etc. install, maintain and promote the uses of solar applications.
- Eligibility for Solar Technician Diploma / Solar Technician ITI course.
Eligibility
- Passed 12th class examination with Science and Mathematics or its equivalent
- Preference will be given to candidates working in the Solar Sector/ Related energy sector.
- Admission for this course will be conducted in TWO PHASES for the convenience of International and upcountry students.
Please note that ONCE SEATS ARE FILLED IN THE FIRST PHASE, ADMISSION FOR THE SECOND PHASE WILL NOT BE HELD.

IISE is offering Solar Technician Diploma for the academic year 2021-22. This course is specifically designed for working professionals in the solar sector who are looking to upgrade their skill & profile as per the latest industry standards.
Admission to this course will be conducted in two phases. If the seats are filled in the first phase. Then second phase of admission won’t be held.
FIRST PHASE:
- Online application start date: 28th August 2021
- Last date for application is 15th Oct 2021
- Last Date for Admission is 25th Oct 2021
Application received on or before 15th Sept 2021 will be shortlisted and called for admission process by the Third week of Sept 2021. The Exact dates will be communicated to the shortlisted candidates.
Selection for Fundamentals of Battery Storage training will be strictly on Merit. Seats are limited so students would be shortlisted on first cum first serve basis depending upon qualifications & experience. If the number of applications received is more than expected. IISE have the right to conduct entrance exam & personal interview to fill the vacant seats in the second phase. Originals should be presented during the personal interview stage.

If paid in full by the student, the total fee for the course is Rs 3,999/- (Rupees Three Thousand Nine Hundred & Ninety Nine Thousand only).
