Solar Operation & Maintenance Training

Solar Operation & Maintenance Training program is a one month course taught in distance learning /Online learning mode. This program  equivalent to Solar Technician ITI course is designed to train technicians who can install, maintain and promote the uses of  Solar appliances.

Currently installed Solar plants run for more than 25 years. It is therefore very important to operate & maintain the solar plants with highly skilled plant operators & technicians. Dirty panels can’t take in as much sunlight as clean panels.  Damaged or defective panels or inverters can affect the output of an entire solar panel installation. O&M is highly essential activity in order to achieve and maintain the best possible performance and return on investment over the entire useful life of any solar Power system.

According to data released by New CEEW and NRDC analysis of the jobs created in the solar PV sector along with the related skills required in every phase of a solar project. It is estimated that India would need nearly 210,800 skilled plant design and site engineers and approximately 624,600 semi-and low skilled technicians for construction, most of whom would be needed to achieve the targeted 40 GW rooftop solar capacity addition. By 2022, As many as 81,000 highly skilled workers would be needed to carry out annual and ongoing performance data monitoring of solar projects totalling 100 GW.

An additional 182,400 workers would be needed by 2022 to carry out low-skill operation and maintenance functions for the numerous solar rooftop and utility scale projects. A multitude of skilled workers across the solar project value chain are needed to achieve India’s targeted 100 GW of solar by 2022.

Course Description for Solar Operation & Maintenance Training

After going through this course the student will be able to:

• Carry out Operation of Solar PV Power Plant.
• Carry out Electrical Maintenance of the Solar PV Power Plant.
• Carry out Civil/Mechanical Maintenance of the Solar PV Power Plant.
• Maintain Personal Health & Safety at Project Site.
• Work Effectively with Others.

Eligibility

• Passed 12th class examination with Science and Mathematics or its equivalent
• Preference will be given to candidates working in the Solar Sector/ Related energy sector.

Please note that ONCE SEATS ARE FILLED IN THE FIRST PHASE, ADMISSION FOR THE SECOND PHASE WILL NOT BE HELD.

Admission Notice – Solar Operation & Maintenance Training for the academic year 2021-22.

IISE is offering Solar Operation & Maintenance Training for the academic year 2021-22. This course is specifically designed for working professionals in the solar sector who are looking to upgrade their skill & profile as per the latest industry standards.

Admission to this course will be conducted in two phases. If the seats are filled in the first phase. Then second phase of admission won’t be held.

FIRST PHASE:

• Online application start date: 28th August 2021
• Last date for application is  15th Oct 2021
• Last Date for Admission is  25th Oct 2021

Application received on or before 15th Oct 2021 will be shortlisted and called for admission process by the Third week of  Oct 2021. The Exact dates will be communicated to the shortlisted candidates.

Selection for Solar Operation & Maintenance Training will be strictly on Merit. Seats are limited so students would be shortlisted on first cum first serve basis depending upon qualifications & experience. If the number of applications received is more than expected. IISE have the right to conduct entrance exam & personal interview to fill the vacant seats in the second phase. Originals should be presented during the personal interview stage.

Programme Fees

If paid in full by the student, the total fee for the course is Rs 1,999/- (Rupees One Thousand Nine Hundred & Ninety Nine Thousand only).

Payment by monthly EMI

Students can also pay the fees through Easy Monthly Installments subject upon eligibility. This facility is arranged with our banking partner. Details of the same will be shared with shortlisted candidates only.

Admission procedure:

Step one:

Admission for the Solar Operation & Maintenance Training Diploma will start from 28th Sept 2021.

If you are selected and don’t take the admission, then only this amount will be forfeited.

Step Two

Shortlisted candidates will be called for admission round. Originals should be presented during this stage. Admission cum course fee should be paid at this stage as per fee schedule given by IISE.
